Bideford's officially twinned with the North Carolina town of Manteo.

Although the ceremony tooking place across the Atlantic, we're getting the chance to see exactly what happened through a  weblink.

The ceremony was broadcast live at 7pm on Sunday 11th April in Britain - which is 2pm Eastern Standard Time USA.  An edited version will take its place once the ceremony's over
