Community Needs Potwalloping

This year's Potwalloping Festival could help provide an economic boost for Westward Ho!

The event has been running since the 1800s, and this year, the emphasis is being placed on making it more family friendly.

It's seen as a vital part of the village economy, and it's hoped this year, it'll show the area at its best and encourage more people to return.

Terry Thorpe, Chair of the 2010 Committee said, "Our community comes together, we've got charities who raise money, we've got groups who perform at the festival, and it really is a wonderful opportunity for individuals to shine and to show Westward Ho! off at its best."

The Committee is still looking for help in the form of donations or sponsorship, performers and people to help at the event.
