Bath Travel Survey

Researchers at Bath University want us to fill out a survey on our travel habits.

They reckon they can use the results to come up with a cross between a bus and a taxi which could cut congestion.

It would work by having routes and timetables that change according to where demand is that day.

Professor Chris McMahon told Heart 'One of the things which we are interested in is preventing environment damage, but this could also reduce congestion in our cities as well. This is some years of yet, but we want to find out the feasibility of such as scheme in a city like Bath. Obviously there are enormous issues in terms of scheduling and routing that are needed, but also in the business models needed to do this.'
