Nearly 20 years after a sex attack on a woman while she was walking home from church in Bedfordshire, a man's been charged with rape.
The woman was attacked in Stotfold in October 1992. She was in her forties at the time, but is now in her sixties.
Daniel Borgers, from Napier Crescent, Scarborough, has been charged with rape. Bedfordshire Police say he used to live in Stotfold.
The 41 year old was due to appear at Luton Magistrates Court on Tuesday 14 August 2012. He was arrested in Scarborough on Sunday 12 August by North Yorkshire Police, on behalf of the Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire Major Crime Unit.
The case had been subject to work over a number of years by the Cold Case Team.
