Bedfordshire Police are investigating the death of a woman in the 30s found dead at her home in Hockcliffe.
Officers were called to a property in Manor Road just after 5pm after the Ambulance Service reported a sudden death pf the woman
Police say she had been found dead inside the house and a subsequent post-mortem has been unable to ascertain the cause of death.
The death is being treated as unexplained by police.
A full investigation was launched over the weekend and detectives from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit have been carrying out house to house enquiries in the area.
Scenes of Crime Officers have also carried out a forensic examination of the property.
A formal identification of the woman is due to be carried out before any further details are released.
A man in his mid 30s, who is believed to be known to the woman, was arrested at the scene in connection with the death and he has been released on police bail.
Officers are waiting for histology and toxicology results.
