People that gave up their time to volunteer at the Olympics and Paralympic have had their contribution recognised the Prime Minister.

Number 10 have sent out personalised letters of thanks signed by David Cameron.

Heart spoke to Hayley Syme from Stotfold in Bedfordshire who got her letter on Monday 17 September 2012.

Hayley, who is a cheerleader for the Saracens rugby team, based in Watford, was involved in both the Opening and Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games. In the Opening Ceremony she carried the name placard for Serbia as she led out the team of athletes.

Hayley said: "I wasn't expecting it actually, when I opened it and it said 10 Downing Street I was quite surprised but it just thanks us for the involvement and says without us it wouldn't have been possible to it was a really nice touch"

Hayley told Heart she's going to frame her letter and keep it with all her other Olympic memorabilia.
