Two months after a man suffered a bleed on the brain after a fight outside a Bedford nightclub, police have released a picture of someone they want to speak to.

The victim had to spend four days in hospital after being knocked unconscious in what happened on Sunday 28 August 2011.  Another man has suffered damage to nerves and tendons in his hand after he was cut.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the fight, but Detective Constable Lynn Adams from Bedfordshire Police now wants to trace the man in the photo from the town’s CCTV system.

"This person was in close proximity to incident, but we don’t know who he is at this stage,” said Det Con Adams. “He may not realise that he saw anything important, or he may think he doesn’t have any useful information for us, but we really would like him to contact us to see if he an add to the information we already have.

"If he recognises himself – or if anyone else does – I’d ask them to give us a call as soon as they can."

If you can help, you can contact Det Con Adams directly on 01234 275351, or you can call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. You don't have to leave your name, but you could still receive a cash reward.
