Man dies after car crash in Southill

Police in Bedfordshire are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a car crash on Tuesday (November 9).

It happened at approximately 5.40pm on the B658, at the junction of Southill Road, Broom in Southill.

A white Vauxhall Vivaro van was travelling along the B658 in the direction of Upper Caldecote, where it was in collision with a black Ford Fiesta. The driver of the fiesta was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital with a serious head injury and has now died (Thursday, November 11).

A full collision investigation is underway and an inquest will be opened and adjourned in due course, after which the victim will be named.
