New Plan For Bedford's Young People

30 April 2010, 05:00

New plans setting out priorities for children and young people across Bedford for the next three years were launched last night.

The document has been put together by representatives of all the partners in the Children's Trust including council members and Head teachers.

Councillor David Sawyer, Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services, said: "The vision for our Children and Young People’s Plan is to make Bedford Borough the best place in England for children and young people to grow up. The most effective way to achieve this is through excellent partnership working, a pulling together of resources and general team work.

"Overall, it’s crucial that a clear plan exists with timescales in place, with priorities set and achieved. Although this evening has a serious undertone we are also hoping to celebrate what the Borough has on offer -  our future plans will make Bedford Borough an even better place for young people to live."
