No More Music For Beds Firefighters

5 February 2013, 06:00

Firefighters in Bedfordshire have been banned from listening to music or watching DVD's in work time.

Its after the fire service were contacted by three different licensing organisations telling them they needed to purchase an entertainment licence costing around £15,000.

The service say they have not previously purchased a licence and say this is an expense they can't afford when budgets are tight.

Therefore they are no longer permitted to play live or recorded music on radios or other device or watch videos or DVDs in any of the offices and fire stations

As this would be illegal without the appropriate licences.
