A 21 man was stabbed and a 22 year old assaulted in Flitwick last night.

The two victims were attacked around 10.50pm in an alleyway at Bluebell Close, by three men - two Asian and one white. One of the victims suffered stab wounds to his stomach while the other sustained injuries to his face.

Both men were taken to Bedford South Wing Hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

Detective Constable Richard Adams, who is investigating the incident, is keen to hear from anyone who was in the Bluebell Close area at the time of the attack.

He said: "This was a very serious assault which has left the two victims with some very nasty injuries. I am appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the assault to come forward. Any information - however small or insignificant you may think it is - could really help with our enquiries."

One man has been arrested by officers in connection with this incident and is currently in custody.
