Cyclist Shot
A 22 year old cyclist's been shot with an air rifle in Reading.
The 22-year-old man from the Three Mile Cross area, was cycling along Romsey Road when he noticed a silver Ford Fiesta driving along Ringwood Road to his left.
As he reached the junction with Oxford Road, he felt something like a punch in his back and saw the same car turn around and head back up Romsey Road.
He then checked his rucksack and found a pellet which had gone through three layers of the bag.
The incident happened between 2.15pm and 2.20pm on Wednesday
PC Mark Giles, from Reading police station, said: “Fortunately the victim was not injured, but nevertheless this is still a very serious matter.
“This happened at a busy time of the day and there would have been quite a few witnesses in the area. I would urge anyone with any information that could help us progress this investigation to contact me urgently.”
