A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the rape of a woman in Bristol last month.
The arrest resulted from a phone call police received on Wednesday, following an appeal for information.
A 24-year-old woman was seriously sexually assaulted in the St Michael’s Park, Clifton and close to Alfred Place, Kingsdown, in the early hours of Sunday 15 December.
The man, who is from the Salisbury area of Wiltshire, has been interviewed and released on bail until 21 March.
