Bristol: Sexual Assault At Bristol Nightclub

Police have issued CCTV images of two women they believe may be important witnesses in a sexual assault inquiry.

A 41-year-old woman from Hampshire was sexually assaulted by a man inside the Pryzm nightclub in Canon's Road, Bristol, at around 2.30am on Sunday 6 July. 

Investigating officer Det Sgt Emma George, of the Operation Bluestone team, said: ''We've been carrying out a number of enquiries since the victim reported the incident to us. 

''One strand of the inquiry has been to examine CCTV footage in the area and we've managed to identify two women we want to speak to. 

''We believe these women were friends and went to help the victim as she was being assaulted by the man inside the nightclub. 

''While the images are not of the best quality, we feel it is important to release them in the hope that we can get names for one or both of these women. 

''The victim is being kept fully informed of our progress and we continue to offer her all the help and support she needs.''
