Avon and Somerset Police are warning drink drivers that they will be caught.
They're out doing stop checks through February when the number of drink drive offences tends to peak again after Christmas.
CI Polly King told heart " In Avon and Somerset we've seen an peak in drink drive related collisions during the month of February. We actively patrol the roads every day of the year to target offenders and improve road safety, and we weill be teaming up with the West of England Road Safety Partnership to increase our focus on drink driving again this month."
"Our advice to drivers is not to get behind the wheel after drinking any alcohol at all as you cannot calculate your limit."
Avon and Somerset police also have a drink drive simulator which can show the effects of drinking on your driving skills. Check out heart reporter Rob having a go by clinking the link on the right.
