How Healthy is Your Family?

Families in Bristol say they're not getting enough advice on how to keep their kids fit and heathy.

That's why a new ten-week programme's been launched for the whole family - on it you'll learn how to stay active and pick healthier food.

Bristol City Council and the NHS say one in eleven kids in the city are overweight or at risk of becoming obese.

Dr Raffle from NHS Bristol says: "We know it can be really hard to change on your own - so the Family, Food and Fun programme has been designed to help and support families every step of the way"

Being overweight can have an impact in later life as well, leading to high blood-pressure, diabetes and heart disease.

The first sessions are running this January, but there will be more starting in May and the summer holidays - for more information call 0117 922 3656.
