Share Your Experiences of Cancer

A Bristol man who was told he had three months to live when diagnosed with cancer 17 years ago is collecting stories for a new book.

Chris Geiger is an Ambassador for Cancer Research UK. He writes regular columns in local papers and magazines and is now putting together a compilation of stories from people who've survived or who are living with cancer. He's now appealing for people to offer their stories for inclusion.

He told Heart ' My mother in law was ill a couple of years ago and I was trying to help her by telling her what to expect. I got a huge thrill out of being able to help her, she said it was great to hear from someone she knew who had been through it. Now I'm an ambassador for Cancer Research Uk it allows me to speak to people, and I'm sure there are people out there with inspirational, upbeat stories or amusing things that have happened which can be included in the book.

You can send your stories to Chris via his website which is linked on the right.
