20 January 2014, 17:32
Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for the public's help after a taxi driver was assaulted in the city centre.
The driver was parked outside the Dojo Lounge nightclub on Park Row on Saturday morning at 6am.
The woman suspect into the taxi and after a short dispute she assaulted the taxi driver, hitting him in the face with what was believed to be a bottle as well as shouting racist remarks.
She then got out of the vehicle and smashed the side window of the car before walking off down Park Row towards the BRI.
The taxi driver required medical treatment. We believe there may have been people outside the nightclub when the incident happened, who could have useful information to help our enquiries.
The suspect is described as a white woman with long blond hair, of medium build, about 5ft 8ins tall. She was wearing a black leather jacket with a light coloured crop top underneath and blue coloured jeans.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries. They would particularly like to speak to those who were outside the nightclub to come forward. Anyone able to help is asked to contact Bridewell police station on the force number 101, quoting 6080/14.
