Bristol's Own Golden Gate Bridge?

The man who impressed the world with his Park Street slide - now wants to wrap the two Clifton Suspension Bridge towers in gold.

To celebrate the 150th Birthday of the Bristol Suspension Bridge Luke Jerram has made a mock up for its temporary transformation. 

The Southville artist plans to wrap the iconic bridge in golden fabric for 28 days, giving a nod to Brunel's original Egyptian designs, as a golden gift to the city.

He's now waiting to see what The Clifton Suspension Bridge Committee make of his proposal.
