Three 17 year old boys have been arrested after a security guard was robbed in St Neots.

The guard was carrying a bag of cash to a van parked outside Argos in Tebbutts Road at around 3:45pm yesterday.

A man snatched the bag from him, then ran towards a car which had two other men inside.

The 17 year olds, all from London, were arrested later the same day and are now being held at Huntingdon Police Station.

Cambridgeshire Police are connecting the robbery to another incident in St Neots at the start of the month.

On December 2nd, a cash box was taken from a security officer outside Lloyds TSB bank in the High Street.

The car used in that robbery was discovered by officers in Great Staughton a few days later.

Anyone with information about either of the robberies is asked to contact Detective Inspector Jon McAdam on 0345 456 456 4, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
