Cambridge: Man Seriously Hurt After Fight

Police are investigating after a mass fight in Cambridge - with reports weapons were being used.

Cambridgeshire Police have told Heart they had reports of "an altercation" involving about six men, some possibly with
weapons, came in at about 2.40pm yesterday (Wednesday 13th Feb).

It happened in the area of Woburn Close and moved to Kingsway Flats.

It is not clear what weapons were used, but a man received serious injuries and is in hospital - and officers went to the scene and five men, aged 17-20 have been arrested.

Detective Sergeant Geoff Knight said: "This fight happened mid-afternoon and there would have been passing traffic so I would encourage anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch."
