Police are trying to trace the driver of a car who didn't stop after a crash on the A14.

A silver Audi, with alloy wheels and tinted windows, hit a silver Vauxhall Zafira at Stow-Cum-Quy on Sunday morning at 11:15am.

Part of the road was closed until 6:00pm that night following the crash.

The driver of the Vauxhall, a 48 year old Cambridge woman, suffered serious head injuries and cuts while the passenger, a 53 year old man from Cambridge suffered a broken neck and head injuries.

However, the driver of the Audi did not stop at the scene of the crash.

Sergeant Chris Huggins, investigating, said: "The victims of this collision suffered very serious injuries and we would appeal to anyone with any information to contact police.

The silver Audi was seen driving off towards Cambridge following this collision with significant front end damage.

Anyone who has seen this vehicle, or knows anyone who has an Audi that sustained damage over the weekend, should call police to help us piece together what happened.

I am also keen to hear from anyone who saw either vehicle prior to this collision."

Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt Huggins at the Roads Policing Unit on 0345 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
