Elderly Woman Falls 20ft Down Escalator

An elderly woman has been taken to hospital with a head injury today after falling around 20ft down an escalator in Cambridge.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) were called to the Grand Arcade shopping centre at around 2.20pm yesterday afternoon (26th November).

They treated her at the scene to control thebleeding and then transferred her to Addenbrookes Hospital for further care.

Her injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening.
