Great Chesterford: Woman Hit By Bus Wheel

A woman has been hurt after being hit by a wheel that fell off a bus at Great Chesterford Railway Station.
Essex Police say they are investigating after the pedestrian was injured this morning (Wednesday).
A private 27-seater bus was preparing to stop at the station shortly before 9am when a rear wheel and tyre became detached and rolled along the road towards a number of people standing outside the building.
The wheel bumped up a kerb and struck a woman on the shoulder.
The 20 year old woman from Hertfordshire was not thought to be seriously injured and was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge as a precaution.
he 56-year-old bus driver, who is from Bishop's Stortford, has been reported for driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition and the bus has been recovered for examination by VOSA, the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency.
