Newmarket: Cyclist Punched To The Ground

Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked and robbed in Newmarket.
It happened at 8pm on Monday 28 October along The Watercourse.
The victim, a 25 year-old man, was riding his bicycle along The Watercourse towards Market Square carrying a large black holdall. He passed two men who grabbed hold of the holdall and punched him in the face causing him to fall to the ground.
Whilst on the ground the victim was then subjected to further punches and was also kicked. After searching the victim, the offenders then took the holdall and ran off towards the town centre. The victim has sustained significant injuries to his face and teeth as a result of this attack.
The suspects are described as follows: First man - white, aged around 20 years-old, with blonde hair and wearing a blue jumper. Second man - wearing a black hooded top with the hood up - no further description.
