A Cambridgeshire Police dog has tracked suspected burglars for five miles, leading to four arrests.

Police were called when some domestic heating oil was stolen from Spaldwick, near Huntingdon, in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Officers searched the area upon arrival, and stopped a van in Stow Longa shortly afterwards.

A man and a woman were then arrested.

A police dog, called Guinness, then picked up a track from the house in Spaldwick.

He led his handler to Brington where two further suspects were arrested.

Two vans with oil tanks and pumps inside were also seized by police.

A 27 year old man, two 22 year old men and a 20 year old woman remain in custody at Huntingdon Police station.
