Police Name Crash Victim

The man who died in a head on road crash under a railway bridge in Stapleford has been named as 24 year old Michael Heaster from Hertford.

He was driving a silver Renault Clio that was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Zafira on the A119 High Road, under tbridge near to Church Lane, on Saturday.

The Clio had, for reasons unknown, crossed the carriageway and hit the Zafira.

The driver of the Zafira, a woman in her 40s, was taken to the Lister hospital for treatment. There were two children in the back of her car, one suffered minor injuries.

PC Andy Ralph is investigating and would like to speak with anyone who witnessed what happened or who may have seen any incidents leading up to the collision. Anyone who can assist should call the Herts Police non-emergency number 101.
