Police in Royston are looking for the driver of a car that didn't stop when told to by officers.

The driver was told to stop on Monday morning at 10:40am in Stamford Avenue.

However, Police say the vehicle continued travelling and then went up onto the kerb, narrowly missing a mum and her two children who were walking along the path.

The car then continued off into Kneesworth Street and Newmarket Road.

The dark blue Audi A4 is thought to have been driven by a man between 25 and 35 years old.

Officers are asking that anyone who believes they saw this vehicle around the time of this incident, to ring the Hertfordshire Police non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222, quoting Urn 253, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
