Toddler Killed Near Newmarket

A three year old boy has been killed in a car crash near Newmarket.

The crash happened on the B1063 Ashley Road in the village of Cheveley at 7:10pm.

A black Jaguar X type collided with a white Renault Clio.

The toddler, named by police as Henry James Blacklock, was a passenger in the Clio and killed in the crash.

A 42 year old Newmarket man, who was driving the car, was seriously hurt and is now in a stable condition in Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The driver of the Jaguar, a 30 year old man from Newmarket, wasn't badly hurt.

Police have also confirmed that a 30 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been released on bail and is due to report to Parkside Police Station in Cambridge on the 1st December.
