Colchester: Man Sought After Racial Abuse

Essex police is looking for an elderly man after a woman and her friend were racially abused at a bus stop in Colchester.

It happened as a 29-year-old woman and her friend were waiting for the No. 1 bus outside Liquid Nightclub on the High Street on Tuesday (December 6th).

Hate Crime investigator Dc Sharon Hall said: "The victim was very upset by this and concerned that this could happen again to her or someone else.

"There were lots of people, both in the High Street and on the No. 1 bus, who would have witnessed this behaviour and are asked to come forward with any information, especially regarding the identity of the man."

The photograph of the man was taken on a mobile phone. He is described as 5'9" tall, medium build, dark hair and a moustache, aged in his 60s, glasses, wearing jeans, beige jacket and black trainers. The woman, who was with him, was described as 5'2", slight build, black curly hair, aged in her 60s.
