Do You Know This Man?
Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for the public’s help to identify the man in this photograph.
Officers believe he may have information which can help the investigation into an incident in which a man assaulted a member of rail staff and trespassed on the railway line on Thursday, 21 February 2013.
Investigating officer PC Mick Stupple said:
“A local train had broken down at Okeltor crossing on the Tamar Valley branch line, near Gunnislake. A passenger on board attempted to leave the train while it was broken down and between stations but he was prevented from doing so by the train manager and driver. However, he then assaulted the train manager and managed to open the doors before disembarking from the train and walking off down the tracks. As well as the unprovoked assault on a member of rail staff carrying out their duties, this person’s actions were extremely foolish and dangerous and could have resulted in him suffering injuries as a result of getting off the train and walking along the track"
