Double Death in Cornwall Cycle Tragedy

Two cyclists have died on the A30 in Cornwall after they were involved in a collision with an articulated lorry.

It happened at around 8.30am  (2nd July ) on the eastbound carriageway at Summercourt near Newquay.

At one point both carriages were closed to traffic  as the air ambulance  flew to the scene.

It's understood the cyclists were  not from the area and their families are being told.

 Police have arrested a man in his  thirties from Holsworthy in Devon  on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He's been released on police bail.
