Police in Cornwall have recovered vital debris from the scene of a hit and run which left a 42 year old Launceston man seriously hurt.
The accident happened on the A30 at Temple just before 8.00 p.m. on Tuesday 12 February.
Police say the man was walking from Bodmin towards Launceston when he was struck from behind by a heavy goods vehicle.
He suffered severe head and leg injuries.
Investigators from the Serious Collision Unit have now recovered the debris from the scene, which are two nearside mirrors from a heavy goods vehicle. The lorry will be a Volvo FL or FE, an LF DAY or a Renault 1818 or 2711.
Anyone who has any information about this type of vehicle or dealers and garages who may have be asked to repair damage to mirrors of this type are asked to contact the police on 101 quoting log number 0696 120213.
They also want anyone who saw the accident or the events leading up to it to get in touch.
