29 May 2014, 13:03

Terry Oldham was found dead at his home in Dolcoath Road in Camborne on the 1st of April.

Detectives investigating the death have issued an appeal for information about the final weeks of his life.

The 63 year old had sustained serious injuries, which officers have described to Heart as "horrific", and have shocked officers working the case.

Three men and one woman from Camborne have been arrested on suspicion of murder and have been bailed until 17 June 2014.

Officers from the Major Crime Investigation Team are now appealing to the public to help them build a picture of Mr Oldham's life before he died.

They believe that he may have been subjected to physical and financial abuse in the weeks leading up to his death.

Detective Inspector Costa Nassaris, from the Major Crime Investigation Team, said "This was a disturbing death where Mr Oldham has sustained serious injuries. We believe that Mr Oldham was the victim of abuse in recent months and we are appealing to anyone who can provide information on events leading up to his death.

In particular we would like to speak to anyone who had seen, or been in contact with Mr Oldham in the weeks before he died."

Anyone with information is asked to telephone police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously, quoting crime reference AC/14/1402.
