2010 Midnight Wish Walk

Nearly 200 women from Bournemouth and Poole have taken part in the annual Midnight Wish Walk.

All the money raised will go to Bournemouth's Round Table Children's Wish, which grants wishes for children with life threatening illnesses.

Organiser Davina Nichols, of Round Table Children’s Wish, said: “Our wish walkers really grasped the glamour theme this year and made a big effort to look the part. The atmosphere was fantastic and we were thrilled to see so many local businesses taking part.

“The money raised will make a huge difference and will be earmarked for wishes of local children.”

20 staff and mums from The Park School took part in the event.

Joy Lawrence, a teacher there, said: “It’s great to be supporting such a worthwhile cause. A little girl from our school had her wish to be a princess for the day granted by the charity; she had a limousine ride and spent a wonderful day in London so we’ve seen firsthand the difference the charity can make.”
