More than 70 firefighters have been tackling a large heath fire on Ham Common in Hamworthy, Poole.
The fire broke out at around 2.45pm on Thursday 29th August.
11 fire engines were called to the scene from areas including Poole, Hamworthy and Westbourne.
Dorset Fire and Rescue said it was brought under control by 5.30pm, but crews are expected to stay at the scene for some time dampening down any 'hot spots'.
It's not yet known how the fire started, but several other health fires in Dorset this year have been treated as arson attacks.
