80 Year Old Woman Hurt In Hit And Run

Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit and run near Sherbourne.

An 80-year-old woman from Farnham sustained an injury to her back and was taken to hospital.

The collision, in which a silver Citroen C3 collided with a small to medium sized red car happened at around 3.15pm on Saturday 17 November 2012 in Dymor on the Sandford Orcas to Wincanton Road.

The driver of the red vehicle failed to stop at the scene or leave any details, and continued in the direction of Wincanton.

Traffic Sergeant Dave Stroud, of Sherborne police,said: ''I believe that the red car involved would have damage to the
driver's side.

I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision, and anyone who may have details about the other vehicle involved to
contact me urgently. I would also urge the driver in question to do the right thing and speak with the police.

All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.''
