Armed Police Arrest Three Outside Poole Building Society

Armed police have shot out a vehicle's tyres to stop an attempted raid on a security van in Poole.
Officers arrested three men on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery in Broadstone.
At approximately 8pm last night (Thursday 22 May) firearms officers from Dorset Police arrested three men in Lower Blandford Road outside the Nationwide Building Society. Tyre deflation rounds were discharged by the police into a vehicle at this location to disable it.
A 37-year-old man from Broadstone, a 40-year-old man from Poole, and a 48-year-old man from Manchester have been arrested and are in police custody helping with enquiries.
No one was injured.
Detectives from the Major Crime Team are investigating and appealing for any witnesses who were in Lower Blandford Road, near to the junction with Grange Road, at the time of this incident.
