Bournemouth Driver Jailed Over Fatal A35 Crash

A Bournemouth man's been jailed for more than 6 years over a crash that killed another driver in Dorset.
49-year-old van driver Stephen Fawcett from Cleveland died in a collision with David Churcher on the A35 near Bridport on August 19 last year.
The 32-year-old from Singleton Drive admitted causing death by dangerous driving.
He was sentenced today (August 15) TO six years and six months in prison and was given a ten month driving disqualification.
Stephen's family released a statement saying:
"It is with a heavy heart that today we received some justice seeing Mr David Churcher sentenced to a lengthy prison term, but no matter how long he serves it will not be enough as he has robbed a family of a great man.
"We would also like to thank Dorset Police for all the hard work they put in to bring David Churcher to justice."
