A 23-year-old man is behind bars after pleading guilty to a robbery in the Winton area of Bournemouth.
Steven Whyte, a labourer, was arrested earlier this year after he assaulted a man at a cash point along Wimborne Road on Thursday, 24 June 2010.
CCTV footage, showing the shocking attack, was circulated to the media and Whyte was subsequently identified.
The victim, a 37-year-old Bournemouth man, suffered bruising and grazing to his face.
Whyte was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, 21 October 2010.
He was jailed for two years and four months for the offence.
