Bournemouth bus sex attack suspect

Detectives in Bournemouth investigating a sex assault in the Townsend area of the town have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to.

It happened between 11.30pm on Saturday 10 August and 12.15am Sunday 11 August 2013, in the vicinity of Woodbury Avenue.

The victim, a local woman in her early 20s, was not injured.

Detective Constable Angela Mills, of Bournemouth CID, said:

“Following extensive enquiries, I am now able to release four CCTV images of a man I would like to speak with in relation to this incident.

“The young woman was travelling on the number three Yellow bus just prior to the incident and alighted at Castle Lane West.

“A short time later, an unknown man, who is also believed to have been on the same bus, engaged her in conversation before assaulting her.

“The victim has been left shocked and distressed by this ordeal and I urge the man pictured – and anyone who recognises him – to contact me in confidence to assist with the investigation.”

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101.
