CCTV Cameras For Estate
£1.8 million is being spent to make an estate near Poole safer.
Nine CCTV cameras, and more lights are going to be put up on the Upton Heath Estate to try and stop problems with anti-social behaviour.
Purbeck Council is also going to pull down and replace the old garage blocks and build a new play area.
Kate Jenkins lives on the estate with her two young children. She told Heart the cameras will make a big difference:
" There used to be a kids play park on the estate but that got vandalised, and a some of the garages get graffiti on the walls. There's a lot of young kids on the estate and having it a lot more open and lighter would be a lot better."
