CCTV Of Southbourne Robbery Suspect

Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for help in identifying a man after an attempted robbery in the Southbourne area of the town - with officers releasing two CCTV images.

Dorset Police received a report of an attempted robbery at the NatWest bank on Southbourne Grove at 12.05pm on Wednesday 24 October 2012.

The CCTV images are being released to the media in the hope that the public can help identify the man.

Detective Constable Mark Portelli, of Bournemouth CID, said:

"I am appealing to anyone who knows the man in the CCTV footage to contact us as soon as possible.

"If anyone recognises him or has any information that can assist the police with their enquiries, please contact Dorset Police or Crimestoppers in the strictest confidence on 101."

The man in the CCTV is described as a

- male aged late 20's to early 30's,

- approximately five feet six to ten inches tall, 

- slim build.

- He was wearing a striped top, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Do you recognise him?

No one was hurt and no money was stolen during in the incident.
