Cherry Picker Injures Tree Surgeons

Two tree surgeons have been seriously injured after a cherry picker fell over in Dorset.

It happened in Chapel Street, Milborne St Andrew yesterday at around 11am.

The men have been flown to hospital with leg injuries.

A crew from Blandford attended the incident.

Station Manager Angus Nairn, who attended the scene said: "This is a very unusual incident but our crews did a really good job in difficult circumstances. They assisted the ambulance crews to ensure the casualties got to hospital as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our crews casualty care knowledge was utilised well during this incident and both casualties were taken to hospital by air support units."

Health and safety experts are now investigating.
