Body Found In Search For Missing Pensioner

Dorset Police say they believe a body found in Mapperton in Beaminster yesterday (Saturday) is that of a missing pensioner from the town.

The discovery was made by a member of the public at around 5pm.

Sara Taylor, who suffered from dementia, was last seen at her home on February 28th.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said:

''We received a call from a member of the public at 17.01pm, reporting that a body had been found on Mapperton, Beaminster. The body is believed to be that of Sara Taylor. The coroner has been informed and next of kin are aware. We'd like to thank everyone who has assisted police in the search over the last two days. Our thoughts are Sara's family at this difficult time.''
