Cyclist Badly Hurt In Weymouth

Police in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a cyclist was left with a broken shoulder in a hit and run.

The cyclist was knocked to the ground by an unknown vehicle at the junction of Canberra Road and Louviers Road at around 8.30pm on Friday, 19 November 2010.

The victim, a 22-year-old Weymouth man, was treated at Dorset County Hospital.

Police Constable Jake Woodbridge, of Weymouth police, said:

“The victim was left with a very nasty injury and I am determined to find the motorist who failed to stop at the scene.

“I would like to speak with anyone who saw this collision, and anyone with any information about the car involved, as soon as possible.

“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”

There's no description of the vehicle at the moment.
