A dog has been rescued after falling 20ft from a cliff off the coast of Dorset.

Rescue crews were called at around 10.15am on Sunday (18th November).

The 10 month old rough collie, called Jess, had fallen from the west coast of Portland, near Southwell Business Park.

Fire Service, Coast Guard and the Weymouth rope and rescue team all attended. A memebr of the Weymouth rope rescue team was lowered down to help the dog, which was then lifted back up to safety in a special dog bag.

Jess was then re-united with her owner safe and well!
