Dorchester Drug Lab Suspect Bailed

Dorset Police have bailed a man arrested on suspicion of producing drugs after officers discovered a drugs lab in a house in Charlton Down.

Eight properties had to be evacuated on Thursday 21st November over concerns dangerous chemicals found in the property on Sherren Avenue could have posed a danger.

A cordon was put in place to preserve the scene and Dorset Fire and Rescue Service were also called as a precaution and the occupants of the eight properties evacuated spent the night in temporary accommodation.

Officers are now awaiting scientific advice in relation to the disposal of the chemicals.

It is hoped that the disposal of the chemicals will be completed by the end of today, Friday 22 November 2013.

A 24-year-old local man arrested on suspicion of producing drugs has now been bailed.
