Dorset Drug Dealer Jailed

A man from Christchurch has been jailed for four years after being found guilty of possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply.

A court heard that Damien Turner, a 25-year-old man from Christchurch, was arrested after the police raided premises in Clarence Place.

A Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was successfully obtained following information received from the local community.

Turner pleaded not guilty to the offences at Bournemouth Crown Court on the 16th of November but was convicted after a full trial.

He was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment.

Police Constable Adrian Best, of Bournemouth Enhanced Policing Team, said:

“We are very grateful to the community for providing information which led to the arrest and successful conviction of Turner.

“This is a good example of residents of Dorset working together with Dorset Police helping to reduce crime and bring offenders to justice.

“The sentence clearly shows that drug offences will not be tolerated.”
