Dorset Man Runs 60 Marathons In 60 Weeks

Barry Light is due to finish his 60th marathon in 60 weeks near Bournemouth later today (Sunday 17 Feb).

He started the challenge in 2011 when he turned 60 to raise money for several charities.

Barry tells Heart he has already secured around £6,000 in donations but hopes to raise even more.

He will begin his final grueling run at Littledown Leisure Centre in Chaseside at 10 am and expects to complete it in around 5 hours.

As well as family and friends, he's also getting support from Olympic long-distance runner Liz Yelling.

And Barry says he's looking forward to a pint when he crosses the finishing line!
